Why this design
The planner is set up so you open Banweb pages yourself and an optional Chrome companion keeps an encrypted local copy—rather than hosting a shared catalog or bulk-fetching schedules.
It is independent and not CityUHK-endorsed or approved. A review of public University IT materials did not identify an explicit ban of this pattern; that is not permission. The site and companion are as is; you accept responsibility for your own use.
1. Install the Chrome companion
- Unzip the companion folder you were given (keep it somewhere permanent).
- Copy
chrome://extensions into Chrome’s address bar.
- Turn on Developer mode → Load unpacked → select the
extension folder.
2. Open Master Class Schedule from AIMS — not the Portal
AIMS / Banweb and the student Portal are different. Use AIMS → Master Class Schedule for the term.
Searching only in the Portal usually will not load the Banweb section pages the companion reads.
3. Capture courses you care about
- Stay signed into Banweb in the same Chrome profile as the companion.
- Find courses on Master Class Schedule.
- Ctrl+click (or ⌘+click) each course so its section page opens — watch for a capture toast.
- Come back here; the catalog should sync (or click Sync Banweb).
Optional: upload a Degree Works audit PDF to filter by prerequisites. Details:
